Nutanix expands AMD EPYC 9004 portfolio with new validated Dell XC and Nutanix NX servers

In August 2023, we announced the availability of Nutanix Cloud Platform™ software, compatible with validated servers, certified with AMD EPYC processors, from Lenovo and HPE. We are thrilled to announce the addition of Nutanix NX-8155A-G9™ and Dell XC7625-24™ servers to the Nutanix family of validated AMD server platforms. These new offerings extend the portfolio of Nutanix-validated AMD systems to seven platforms. This collaboration is further evidence of the unwavering commitment of AMD and Nutanix to deliver customers unparalleled server options.
The Nutanix NX-8155A-G9 is the first AMD server in the Nutanix NX portfolio. This 2U dual-socket AMD platform supports up to 12 Large Form Factor drives and 3 Terabytes of DRAM with a wide-variety of I/O options that address enterprise-class workloads from high-density server virtualization to business critical and database applications. The 2U Dell XC7625-24 dual-socket server (available at the end of this year) broadens the Dell XC 16G generation platform lineup with the first AMD EPYC CPU-based server featuring up to 24 Small Form Factor drives with up to 96 cores per socket.
These models support a wide range of Nvidia® GPU (A/L/H-series) cards for your virtual desktop, artificial intelligence, and machine learning applications. High-performance all-flash storage and low-cost hybrid storage options are offered across all AMD platforms, making these systems well suited for Nutanix Files Storage™ and Nutanix Objects Storage™ workloads.
AMD EPYC processors offer options that can bring exceptional performance and value for the most demanding workloads. For example, database applications benefit from higher frequency CPUs and lower core counts in order to maximize performance and cost. The AMD EYPC processors optimized for high frequency are engineered to provide superior performance at varying core count options.
