It’s no secret that data growth is exploding – and predominantly in unstructured data. Gaining true insight into your actual data is challenging, especially in larger environments. As environments grow, there’s increasing chances of multiple storage deployments, even in different geographical locations, countries or even continents. This further compounds the issue as getting a single view of a distributed environment is extremely different without expensive third-party tools, and that’s one more thing to manage, update, etc. Nutanix Data Lens is different: as a cloud-service, it offers unlimited scale and can provide a single, global view of your data, wherever it is. Data Lens is embedded in Nutanix Unified Storage and provides deep insights, anomaly detection to detect threats and can block access from user accounts and/or devices. You can see where your data is even when it’s replicated and tiered away from Nutanix storage.
With thousands of ransomware attacks taking place daily around the world, it’s no wonder that ransomware protection is a top priority – but that protection is only as good as the rules it uses to identify attacks. Out-of-date ransomware databases, or databases with limited attack vectors listed, offer little-to-no practical protection against ransomware attacks. Data Lens features more than 4,000 ransomware signatures and, since Data Lens is delivered as a service, the database grows without you needing to maintain it. Nutanix dynamically updates the database as new signatures are detected, so your protection stays current.
